This recording contains the premiere recordings of four accompanied solos featuring Yasuaki playing percussion instruments of all shapes and timbres. Yasuaki aims to expand the repertoire for solo percussion with brass band accompaniment, so Leyland Band of which he has been a member since 2013 were delighted to help realise his ambitions to record new music. Leyland were delighted that he spent his final year in England with the band in which time he recorded this CD. It had become a glimmering girl With apple blossom in her hair Who called me by my name and ran And faded through the brightening air. Yasuaki began playing percussion at the age of 15, and received a Bachelor of Psychology degree from the the Nihon (Japan) University in 2009 before beginning studying percussion at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester. The Golden Apples Of The Sun is the debut solo recording by brilliant young Japanese percussionist, Yasuaki Fukuhara, accompanied in 4 tracks by Leyland Band conducted by Richard Evans.
